Domestic violence leaves the children between a rock and a hard place.

Scenario.

The father loves his children and will do anything for them except loving their mother. He pays their school fees, takes them with him for holidays and spend time with them.

On the other hand, the man is a wife beater.

This lady is illiterate, and where she comes from is abject poverty. She believes that her husband is her only source of livelihood.She tells herself that she'll stick to this marriage so that her children can stay with their father and get educated.

As a child, it is hard to choose between the father and the mother. Choosing mother means loss of a livelihood and choosing father means loss of maternal love. What a place to be!
