Conclude the talks we are starving! That was the clarion call by women from all walks of life from Zimbabwe in September 2008 [1] this was after long talks that seemed not to be bearing any fruits among the political leaders who had not agreed on the structure of the inclusive government. Meanwhile there was a deep political and humanitarian crisis till the women decided enough is enough! The women under the coalition of Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) held protests for the leaders to act and conclude the talks.

At times when I wake up and make my way to the office like millions of others Kenyans do every morning I always ask myself, what if Kenya was free of corruption where would I be? Would all these women and men be walking to work? Would we still have this crazy traffic jam that takes up an average of 3 hours, what a waste of time and human resources? Where we are as a country in terms of development, is that the full potential of Kenya or she ought to be way ahead? Corruption is like a cancer that is finishing us slowly but surely.

Remember to give your comments and inputs which are highly appreciated.

We are past the middle of the second year since the Grand Coalition Government signed the National Peace Accord. Several attempts by different groups have been made to pressurize the government to implement Agenda 4 recommendations of the Peace Accord. The issues addressed by Agenda 4 include youth unemployment, the resettlement of internally displaced persons, and the formation of a local tribunal to try perpetrators of post-election violence. So far, the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation team has been formed and sworn in.

As a Kenyan, I woke up on this morning of April 8th 2009, it was not just another day or was it? I woke up a disturbed person; no I slept a disturbed person. Watching news I couldn't help but shut my eyes from the site of massacre that was Nyeri East previous night. I refused to watch the bodies scattered on the ground that dominated the news of the day.
