Violence against women is defined as “any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life private life.

Some months ago a discussion started Kenya about girls not being able to attend school during their period; a common problem in many parts of the developing world. Disposable pads are very expensive and alternatives don't seem to exist for most girls. They often just stay home for the 5-10 days per month that they have they period, rather than be embarrassed. This cuts heavily into their education.
From these discussions a number of options came up:

Tough Luck being a woman these days ,with the increase of fuel the precious Unga commodity the climate change brings something new for us women especially us young women.
I read recently that in Kampala climate change has been blamed for increasing social problems most recently and I must say astonishingly is the increase of early marriges.
